Hey again!
It always seems odd updating info on the gift registry as we are just so pleased that so many of you are going to make the trek to see us that, that is a gift enough. But, since some you you have been asking here is another option for the gift registry. Besides our registry at the Bay, please also feel free to send gift cards from TARGET. Some of my fellow American guests may find it a little easier than dealing with the hodge-podge that is the Bay website so this is a great alternative.
Can't wait to see you all very, very soon!!!

RSVP!
Hey all!
Well by now you should have received your invite and are looking to RSVP to our shindig. We do hope you will come as each and every person who received an invite is very special to us.
In an effort to take full advantage of this digital age, I have set up an email account through Google Mail (or gmail for short) so that you can direct all correspondence to us through there including your RSVP or any other questions you have about the Wedding, Toronto or anything else you want to chat about. Also, feel free to leave comments on this blog and we will get right back to you as well.
Please let us know if you will be joining us on our special day as soon as possible as we only have a limited number of spots on the boat and we will need to plan accordingly. You can RSVP by emailing us at modnjaywedding@gmail.com or you can do it the old fashioned way and just give one of us a ring. Don't forget to let us know if you will be bringing a guest!

Hotels
First, an apology. We are having our wedding on probably the busiest weekend of the year in Toronto. Caribana in Toronto is a festival that runs from Sunday June 15th, 2008, through Sunday August 3rd, 2008, and the final weekend is ALWAY the busiest. The good news is that there certainly will not be a shortage of things to do Friday night, Saturday afternoon and on Sunday if you choose to stay. The bad news is that hotels will be at a premium. My best advice is BOOK EARLY! Reasonable hotels are still available through Orbitz.com, Hotels.com or you can go through the hotels directly.
If you have any questions on hotels and location, don't hesitate to drop me a line at modnjaywedding@gmail.com and I promise to point you in the right direction.

The Ceremony

The Ceremony will take place in Toronto's BEAUTIFUL Musical Garden's. As you can see from the photo, it is truly an amazing setting. The only catch to having it in such an area is that they don't allow chairs. Not to worry though, we promise that the ceremony itself will be simple, elegant and not very long. If you are unable to stand for longer than 20 min we can arrange seating for you on an as needed basis.

The Boat!

In lieu of doing the traditional wedding reception, Madhavi and I decided that it would be truly special to have what is essentially a floating party. After the ceremony itself, we will be embarking on a four hour cruse around the Toronto Islands with what promises to be some truly breathtaking views of the city at night. Dinner will be served on the main level and then we will dance and celebrate the night away on the second level of the boat.
For more information you can check out the Jubilee Queen's website here.
